More of us eligible for H1N1 Flu Shots
In a sign that vaccine shortages might be easing, the Minnesota Department of Health is expected to announce Tuesday that it is expanding the number of high-risk target groups eligible for H1N1 immunizations.
CLINICS TUESDAY: Flu-shot clinics scheduled for today at Fairvew Clinics reflect the broader groups. As of today, anyone aged 6 months through 24 years, both those who are healthy and those with underlying health conditions, are invited to come for vaccination at one of the clinics. People aged 25 though 64 are eligible for a shot if they have chronic medical conditions.
The other target groups are pregnant women and people who live with or care for children younger than 6 months. For clinic locations, hours and more info go to www.fairview.org/flu.
