Pam’s Devotional Book

So many of you have been asking about the devotional book that Pam uses and enjoys sharing from.  The devotional is called Jesus Calling:  Enjoying Peace in His Presence by missionary Sarah Young.  The messages for each day come out of Sarah’s time with the Lord as she wrote in her prayer journal.  She began to write what she believed God was saying to her and found that others were encouraged by the messages as well.  Each message is written from Jesus’ point of view, according to what Sarah believed God was speaking to her through time with the Lord.  The messages are accompanied with Bible verses to lead you to the place where God’s Word talks about the day’s subject.

10/28 Bible Verse

Colossians 3:13 ~ “Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another.  Forgive as the Lord forgave you.”

10/27 Bible Verse

Psalm 139:1&3 ~ “Lord you have examined my heart and know everything about me.  You chart the path ahead of me and tell me where to stop and rest.  Every moment you know where I am.”

Pam’s Pals ~ Meet Walter!

Walter

Today’s Pam’s Pal is Walter, a cat who just can’t seem to win over landlords. Walter arrived on one of Animal Humane Society’s doorsteps for the first time as a kitten back in August 2005. He wasn’t allowed by his owner’s landlord. But being a cute and cuddly kitten, he was adopted without haste. He spent the next three years in his new home growing, learning and being part of a family. Then his family moved and the new landlord’s door was another not open to frisky felines.

AHS welcomed Walter back earlier this year and were excited to see him go back into a new home on June 1. But come June 27, he was back. He didn’t get along with the resident cat.

Now this beautiful, black-and-white cat is back to where he started so long ago as a kitten. Walter has been in and out of shelters his entire life. He has never known a family for more than three years. Unfortunately, he now needs a home with an exceptional owner, something that’s a little more difficult to attain for the animals in AHS’s care. It’s been discovered that Walter has a heart murmur.

Learn more about Walter by stopping by AHS’s St. Paul facility or going online at www.animalhumanesociety.org.
