Empty Arms by Sherokee Isle

“Life can be the same after a trinket
has been lost, but never after the loss of a treasure.”

Paul Irion from the poem A Death Has

Sherokee Isle is a Twin Cities resident who has experienced the miscarriage of a child. Her website has been designed to help parents and families who have experienced the devastation of a perinatal loss and infant death including: miscarriage (including ectopic pregnancy and blighted ovum), stillbirth, SIDS or early infant death. She also welcomes care providers who offer medical, spiritual and emotional support to these families. When a baby dies, no matter the timing, hearts break and arms ache.

Natural Weed Killer

Hey, I was on vacation last week and decided to try Mary Hunt’s (Everyday Cheapskate heard on KTIS Wed monrings at 7:10a) recipe fpr a natural weed killer. This is for rocky areas and cement cracks. The soil will eventually become sterile so don’t put it where you want anything to grow:

1 gallon white vinagar

2 cups plain table salt

1 tablespoon dish soap – any  kind

Shake it up in the gallon vinagar jug and then dispense into a smaller spray bottle. I did all my rocky areas and they are clear of weeds after 2 applications!

Jeremy Camp and wife Adrienne Share Sad Family News

This is the latest entry in Jeremy and Addie Camp’s Blog:

“Hi Everyone

We have sad news to share with you.

As some of you may know from my twitter it was our baby check up yesterday.
I went in and they could not find the baby’s heart beat. This is could be normal at my stage, but they sent me to have an ultrasound, from which we learned that our precious little one’s heart had stopped a week earlier and has gone to be with Jesus. “
Your thoughts and prayers are appreciated of course and you can leave comments on their blog here.
