Global Food Crisis Day

A dramatic rise in the cost of food in recent months has created a life-threatening crisis for millions of the world’s poorest families. Most Compassion-assisted children and their families have been affected and some have been absolutely devastated. Pam’s Pals from AHS

Today’s Pam’s Pals is a Plott hound from Animal Humane Society’s Golden Valley facility. His name is Bart and at six years old you’d think he’d be starting to slow down, but this guy still has great energy to share with a new family.

Plott hounds are brindle in coat and known for their love of water. Bart would be a great companion for someone looking to take the family dog Up North to discover the great outdoors. He exemplifies the confidence and courage that Plott hounds have come to be known for, in addition to a soft happiness that is all his. Get to know this strong, funny guy by stopping by AHS’s Golden Valley facility today.

If you can’t adopt a pet, and you have an animal-loving child in your home, consider sending them to Unleashed, AHS’s summer camp for kids. Unleashed campers entering grades 3-12 spend a full week immersed in animal learning and fun. Each week includes animal-related educational activities, animal interactions, visits from special guests, field trips, and more. Campers also unleash their big hearts by completing service projects to benefit the animals of AHS. Contact them today at (763) 289-2220 to register or learn more. There are also offerings for students in grades 8-12.

Visit the AHS website at www.animalhumanesociety.org for more information.
