SUV Art on Lake Nokomis

TAlk about embacing winter! The driver of an SUV created some unique art on Lake Normandale in Bloomington.

The driver made precise circles in the snow on the lake. SkyFOX9 caught images of the well-planned design before snow started falling Thursday in the Twin Cities metro.

The treadmarks resemble a sun and clouds.  Check out the art work at http://www.myfoxtwincities.com/dpp/news/Lake_Normandale_Art_Circles_SUV_Feb_26_2009

Prayers for Deputy Chris Dewey

Doctors are cautiously optimistic about the chances for a Minnesota sheriff’s deputy who was shot in the head and abdomen.    Mahnomen County Deputy Christopher Dewey remains heavily sedated at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo, N.D.    Doctors say Dewey can move both sides of his body, and has begun to show some signs of being aware of his surroundings. He also has recognized his wife and family.

His aunt called David and me this morning with heartfelt thanks and asked for more prayers for his complete recovery. Check out his Caring Bridge site at this link:  http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/chrisdewey

Happy Valentines Day

Valentine’s Day With Jesus

Jesus does not send perfume
To linger in the air
Instead He sends salvation, sweet
To show how much He cares.

He doesn’t bring me candy hearts
In boxes of delight
Instead He always lets me know
I’m precious in His sight.

He doesn’t send out pretty cards
Trimmed in shades of red
Instead He gave His life for me
His precious blood was shed.

He doesn’t hand out fancy gifts
Like we would send to mother
Instead He sends a message clear
To always love each other.

He doesn’t give me teddy bears
That whimper, “please be mine”
Instead He gave His heart to me
I wear it all the time.

He doesn’t give me roses, pink
For all the world to see
Instead He gave eternal life
That’s good enough for me!
