Hi Dave, hi Pam.

My question is regarding the drive through difference program.

I feel silly asking, but how can you pay for someone behind you if they haven’t ordered? How does the person at the register know what to charge you, before you drive forward? Are participants using credit cards? Especially if you do drive thru and order, you’re no longer near the register to pay. I want to participate today, but am slightly confused. (Maybe there are others like me.)

Blessings.

Hi! today was my first drive-thru difference day! I was planning on sleeping in today, but God changed that plan. I got up early, printed two fliers off of the internet, and sluggishly jumped in the car. I went to the McDonalds in Blaine (Hwy 242 & Hwy 65) and put my faith into action. When I hit the drive thru, there was no one behind me. I really wanted bless someone to the point that I actually prayed for someone to come in behind me, and they did! It was great! Making a difference is great!

Good Morning!!!
I got up this morning and was excited to get my flyers printed off once I got to work. I only had 10 dollars on me and no flyers yet so I had decided to buy the Gal I was relieving at work a latte for now and then hit a couple drive thrus after work. I got up to the drive thru window and found out my co workers and my lattes were paid for. As I read my flyer given to me I read that yesterday was that persons FIRST time listening to KTIS. And heard about this great promotion. To the person at the Mounds View Caribou coffee Thank You and Have a blessed day!!!!!

Good Morning David and Pam,
I am a shift supervisor at a Caribou in Blaine. And on Tuesday I printed off the drivethru difference note and just changed it to read the stranger at the window.
This morning, I planned to particaipate, so I got a gift card, and drove to the Caribou and got my coffee and gave the gift card to the drivethru team member, and paid for the person behind me and gave the rest of the card to the person.
god has blessed me MANY times when I needed it and now I can make a difference.
Thank you

Hi There!

Third Day has a hidden song (take my life take all of me) on one of their cd’s that is awesome- do you think you could have them sing it this morning? Thank you and may your day be filled with God moments

Hey, if no one is behind you in the drive up, you can purchase a gift card, pre-loaded with an amount and pay it forward that way!! Just a thought :)

Got up at 5:00 a.m. to be at work by 6:00 so I can get my hours in at work and then head to Duluth to see Third Day tonight. “Show me your Glory” is one of my daughter Naomi’s favorites. So, if you don’t want her to be yelling it out all night, maybe you should play it again :-)
Thanks!!!!!

Good morning guys,
I went to the drive-through at the Starbucks in Hudson. when I ordered there was noone behind me. I was praying someone whould come up behind me before I got to the window (I knew they would, they are always buisy on Friday AM’s) and they did. When I asked the cashier to put the order for the car behind me on my card she said I was the 3rd one today already. I told her it is still early too, and she gave me a scone on the house. They blessed me on my way home from work as I was trying to bless someone else. This is a great idea, Thanks!

Good Morning David and Pam:)

I just wanted to tell you that this morning I was in the drive thru but didn’t have the note to tell them. So, I paid for the person behind me anyway and the cashier at Caribou said WOW that was really nice, you have a good day.

Good morning!
Guys, if I go to the Mall of America am I going to see Tai in a fetal position again?
Seriously, thank you for your music . Not only does it minister to my husband and I but my kids love to listen. I just told my daughter that you all were in town and her eyes lit up! Blessings to you, stay safe! Could you say Happy Birthday to Kylie? She is turning 9!
Regarding Drive Thru- we couldn’t wait and neither could our kids. We did it on Tuesday night and with a friend in the car. When we dropped her off she had to tell her mom. Maybe we will have passed on the spirit in more ways than one.

David and Pam, please welcome Third Day from all of the believers here at Medtronic in Fridley! I would request that KTIS play “Thief” some time. It is such an amazing and intense song, but it really resonates during this Resurrection season.

Thank you and Blessings!

Hey Guys –
I had planned to stop at the McDonalds on my way in to work this morning to participate in the Drive Through Difference. Imagine my surprise when I came over the hill and noticed that the normally quiet drive through was so busy that cars reached all the way into the street with no way to get in! Thank-you for a program that is impacting so many and blessing lives each day!

Good morning!

I just visited the Starbuck’s in Hudson, WI. When I got to the window, I handed the cashier one of the KTIS flyers and asked if I might be able to pay for the next person’s order as well. The cashier smiled and said that she was very familiar with the Drive Through Difference program. She said she had 12 participants in a row at one point this morning! That’s incredible. Thank you for sponsoring such a great outreach project.

Hello! I just wanted to leave a message to thank the KTIS listener who surprised me and brightened my day at Starbucks in Brooklyn Park this morning. I wake up at 5 a.m. every day to get to work by 6:30. I am not a morning person and often need a morning “treat” to pick me up. At the same time, I do try and keep my coffee in moderation as it gets expensive and I know it is not the healthiest to drink every day. This morning I contemplated whether I should stop or not and used the excuse that it was Friday and I was worth it.

I thought it was strange that after I placed my order I was told that I would get my total at the window when I pulled up. Then it was even a more pleasant surprise when I was handed the KTIS flyer and told that my coffee was paid for. How wonderful!

Your phone lines were busy so I wanted to take the opportunity to say THANK YOU to your listeners! This is a beautiful way to brighten the day and spread joy throughout the Twin Cities area.

Good morning! I am an avid, devoted KTIS listener. When you did your first drive thru difference, I didn’t have an opportunity to participate so I was eagerly awaiting today hoping I’d get to make a difference. We’re playing “Biggest Loser” at work and one of our challenges is no fast food. How was I going to pay for someone if I couldn’t go through a drive thru?! Then I heard you on the radio this morning saying to just do a random act of kindness. It was like God was in the passenger seat whispering in my ear, “Buy a flower for everyone you work with”. My first thought was that I couldn’t afford that but guess what? I did it anyway. I went to a local Cub and purchased enough tulips and daffodils to be able to give one to each person I work with which is about 50 people. I then printed off the flier from your website, modified it a bit to fit a work scenario, and walked around passing out the fliers with a flower. Not even 30 minutes after I finished doing this a co-worker came into my office and said I had inspired her today. Her mother is going through a pretty rough, stressful time and because of my flower she decided to call a florist and have them deliver a single flower to her mom at work. God is so great! I pray that my little flowers continue to inspire and encourage people to “PAY IT FORWARD”! Thanks KTIS! This is a wonderful thing to do for others! God Bless you and have an amazing day!

Hi David and Pam,
I just thought I would pass along another idea for “Drive thru Difference”. At Christmas time, I purchase a gift card at Cub Foods and ask the cashier to give it to someone she/he knows could use it when they come through her/his line with a grocery order. My family went through a few times of financial struggles and know that the grocery bill is a hard one to cover at those times. With Easter coming this week, it might be something someone else would like to do to add a blessing to someone’s Holiday by lightening their load. :)
Thanks,
Nancy

Good Morning David & Pam,

I would like to start out by thanking both of you for blessing my morning every week day. I also want to thank KTIS for doing the “Drive Thru Difference”. What a great way to show Jesus’ love to others. Because I am trying to watch my “trans fats” I will not be participating in the “Drive Thru Difference” today but I wanted to share with you another way that your listeners can show Jesus’ love. For about 6 months I have been helping a homeless person that is often at the intersection of 35W and Stinson Blvd looking for help (money). It breaks my heart to see people just drive by without a thought about helping this man. I have donated to this person and what a feeling it give you to help someone in need. I have also seen him at the intersection during the lunch hour and I will buy two lunches and give him one. In doing this I hope the drivers around me seeing this act of kindness will maybe next time do the same.

Thanks again for blessing my day.

In Jesus’ Love,

Cathy Kern

I just paid for the lady behind me at Wendy’s. I decided I was going to do it because when I was growing up I was part of a group at our church called the RAKERS (Random Acts of KindnessER’s). I had so much fun doing that that I thought I would do it again. We would visit the nursing homes and make them flowers out of tissue paper or make them Valentines Day cards or just sit and talk with them. We also would fill up coolers with Pop and water and visit construction sites on hot summer days and bless the workers by giving them a refreshing drink. We would go and visit apartment buildings and play with the younger kids. This brought back so many memories of RAKING and loved doing it again today!

I don’t drink coffee and seldom do drive thru’s, but this week I was able to do a “pay it forward” by baking for a benefit to raise funds for a man who was diagnosed with cancer and didn’t have insurance. At first when I heard about this benefit at our church, I didn’t think about doing anything for it since I didn’t know the man. But then I thought about my brother who had been diagnosed with cancer 4 years ago and how everyone was there for him and his family during his whole journey, even if they didn’t know him. It really hit me and I realized I needed to “pay if forward”. What a blessing it was for me. My brother died in November, feeling he had completed the work the Lord had for him here on earth. He could hardly wait to get to Heaven to meet the Lord face to face.

I just wanted to thank KTIS for blessing me everyday and for inspiring us with the Drive Thru Difference! I have been waiting all day to go buy someone a coffee or a meal. After I picked up my girls from school, we drove to Sati Coffee in Woodbury. We ordered and wouldn’t you know…no one behind us! So I thought I would just leave the KTIS note and some money for the next person that comes through. I got to the window to pay and Teresa had done the exact thing for me! Thank you Teresa and KTIS, you made my day.
Gods blessings to everyone.

I was blessed to receive my free meal at the McDonald’s in Spring Lake Park at 10:25 am on Friday am by a nice woman in a blue minivan with a broken car door. Needless to say, I was so touched by the act, I cried my eyes out while I ate my Egg McMuffin. I have been struggling with some things in my life and have prayed to feel the presence of God in my life. Little did I know it would come in my meal. Thank you kind lady and thank you KTIS. I am now a listener.
I returned the act of kindness at the Dairy Queen in Fridley at 7:30 pm to a lady behind me when I went to pick up a sundae for my nephew who is home sick with strep throat. I hope she is feeling as blessed as I am.
I will continue to listen to your station and look fwd to more stories of inspiration!

HI,
I REALLY LIKE THE IDEA OF DOING A RANDOM ACT OF KINDNESS
IN THE NAME OF JESUS. AS I DROVE HOME FROM WORK, I WAS STRATEGIZING WHERE I WAS GOING TO DO THE DRIVE THRU.
GIFT. THE THOUGHT CAME TO ME, WHAT ABOUT AT CUB FOODS.
THAT LED ME TO THINK I COULD GIVE A GIFT TO A FRIEND OR
LOVED ONE IN THE LORD. WELL I PRINTED OFF A FLYER, CALLED MY WIFE AND WE DECIDED TO GIVE MY 21 YR OLD DAUGHTER A CHECK ALONG WITH THE FLYER. WHAT WAS NICE IS THAT WE JUST GOT A TAX REFUND TODAY.
MY DAUGHTER KNOWS THAT THE CHECK WE GAVE HER HAS NO
STRINGS ATTACHED AND IS FROM THE LORD. SHE HAS MADE STEPS RECENTLY TO START WALKING WITH THE LORD AGAIN.
THE LORD’S GRACE IS DRAWING HER BACK.
THANK YOU FOR THIS EVENT IN THAT IT IS BETTER TO GIVE THAN TO RECEIVE. WE WERE THINKING IT MIGHT BE A BETTER EVENT IF THE GIVERS WERE ANONYMOUS AND THE CALLERS WOULD BE THOSE WHO WERE BLESSED. OTHERWISE IT SEEMS TO
TO ROB THE GIVER OF A SPECIAL BLESSING BETWEEN THEM AND THE LORD. JUST A THOUGHT.
THANKS AGAIN.

I was listening to your station on the way home from work on Friday the 14th. I heard a girl talking about ho the gentleman in front of her at Mcdonalds had bought her lunch, I was so touched, one of those things that brings tears to your eyes. I thought wow what a wonderful thing to do. the announcer mentioned that it was the drive thru they were doing. I went to McDonalds in Savage which I do every friday during lent I placed my order, I was waiting in line looking at the mini van in front of me it was a grand Caravan, thinking it looked more like a suv, my parents had one so I was comparing the two in my mind. I get to the window to pay, the boy working told me the person in front of me had paid for my meal, I said oh my Gosh I just heard about this on the radio. I waved to the lady mouthed thank you. I was so touched,it really made my day. I got home called my 3 daughters to tell them, I tried to find the phone number for the station, could not find. I came to work today,I will be doing to drive thru next month. It is so reasuring to know there are so many kind and caring people out there. I want to thank the lady who purchased my meal on Friday the 14th again. You are truly a wonderful person.

Dave & Pam,

March 14 years ago our son, 21 had a ruptured brain aneurism, AVM.
Tom had gone to North Carolina with his friends on Spring Break with one thing on their minds to guide our oldest to Jesus.
Our sons talked way into the night and eventually Tom went out to his tent to sleep. In the morning he was found unconscious.

Drs. gave Tom a 5% chance of survival and if he lived it would take 5 years to relearn to walk & talk.
It took a long time to stabilize him enough to do surgery to remove the excess veins on his brain.
At one point Tom wrote in my notebook the passage with the fiery furnace & King Nebicanesar
The guys said “We know our God can save us but if not they would still worship Him”.
In essence Tom was saying that he knew God could heal him but if not He still had faith in Him.

As we waited for the date for the surgery, Tom now able to move was able to play a cassette recorder.
On it was a song by Third Day “I will Lift My Voice” He would play it then rewind it and play it again over & over & over, until a friend copied it onto a CD .
This full CD had repeated “I will Lift My Voice” through out. Tom no longer had the strength to push the buttons to repeat it.

After surgery a Dr said to our oldest son “Didn’t we do a great job?” Mitch, our oldest son said “God did a Great Job!”
Tom came through surgery telling us phone numbers for us to call to let folks know he was alive & fine.
And as soon as he was allowed up, he could walk.

Today both are vibrant – healthy – believers in a Mighty God!

PS “I will Lift My Voice” was the entrance song where we walked Tom in for his wedding. What a song of victory!

David, Pam, and the rest of the KTIS crew:

Thank you SO MUCH for having us on your program last week! Yes, it is a little early for us “rocker types” to get up and do an interview that time of day, but we had an incredible time. You guys were so hospitable and professional. And it was a real treat for us to take part in the “drive thru difference”! I’ve been telling people about it all week…

Thanks again for your ministry and your support of Christian artists like Third Day!

I am a manager at a Taco Bell. I have seen “The Drive Thru Difference” on many occasions. I have actually seen a chain reaction of up to 5 cars in a row, “paying it forward” to only be stopped when we did not have another car in line for the last person to pay for. So, it does make a difference. And, it is great to see the surprise on someone’s face, when I tell them that their meal has been paid for, a random act of kindness.

This morning I was feeling sorry for myself. My husband came down with H1N1 in October and he’d spent Nov 1st through Dec 23rd in two different hospitals… then they sent him home and I had to be his nurse… I have never been a good caregiver, but I’m learning… I’ve had power go out… and many other things break or fail and I asked God when it would be time for someone to do something for me. I decided that this morning I would treat myself to breakfast at McDonalds at 694 and Silver Lake Road… and I waited while the person before me handed a note to the clerk. I had no clue why that person would hand the clerk a note… then I got to the drive thru and they handed the note to me! Someone had paid for my breakfast! My prayer had been answered! I thank the person who did this for me at about 7 this morning! You have made my day! THANK YOU!
