Klug, Chara Monday

Christmas Letter to Your Soldier for Monday, December 10:

Friday, December 07, 2007

To my friend and sister in Christ, Chara Klug, (serving in the Army as a Helicopter Pilot in Iraq):

I want you to know that you are truly prayed over right now.  I have been so touched by your desire to serve our Country.  As you have shared with me your willingness to do this now while you are young and don’t have a husband or child to leave behind, so that others that don’t have to, it amazes meJ  Despite the constant negativity that can be thrown your way as an Army Soldier, you have remained strong.  I have appreciated your example to love others and to serve Jesus by sharing His Word and love to the soldiers that you serve with.  Be encouraged by His Word, Chara.

You are a blessing to me, friend.  I love you and know that God is with you each day, every step of the way.  Through the rough days and the great days, He loves you and will never leave you.

I look forward to your return and will be here with open arms to give you a huge hug.

I love you.  Merry Christmas, friend!

Your sister in Him,

Erika

Josh, Friday, December 7

Dear Josh,I love you!  God has blessed me with an amazingly brave and Godly man that I
will be honored to call my husband in only 8 short months.  A day has not
passed over this year that I have not thought about you and prayed for you.
Even though having you gone for the holidays is incredibly painful, I know
that the work you are doing is helping so many in need, and for that I am
very proud of you!

I know this year has been incredibly trying on you at times, but
your perseverance and strength just proves how strong of a man God has made
you.

So often, I envision the day of your return, and I really cannot wait.  I am
excited to see what He has in store for the rest of our lives.  Thank you
for all of your hard work and for sticking with me and showing me you love
me despite the many miles between us.

Love,

Christen
