Would you like fries with that?

First of all thanks for all your prayers during this incredible experience. It?s hard to believe that tomorrow (Friday) is our last day here. I?ve really enjoyed getting to know the KTIS listeners personally. In our devotions last night with our group we were so surprised that we could be so transparent with one another in such a short amount of time. The sharing of our hearts and our pain has been so easy to do with one another. It?s so clear that the Holy Spirit has been with us ever step of the way. I just know that it?s because of all your prayers back home that keeps us strong. Please continue to pray for us when we get back next week. The enemy always tries to attack God?s children, especially after serving in a mission trip such as this. We have reaped so much Joy. Miss Emma did the Halleluiah Dance when she saw her new kitchen. Webb told the team stories of his survival when he sat out vicious Katrina from his roof top with his new found friend the Pelican. And Ken continues to share all his stories of surviving a staph infection, the miracle birth of his daughter, his best friend walking again after a tree almost cut him in half, meeting and being honored by President Bush for his service, and most of all being called from the insurance business to full time ministry rebuilding peoples lives in Biloxi. Praise God!

What a great minstry time it has been so far. Our KTIS/Stem voluteers have some beautiful hearts. As I have mentioned on the air, this is our first time on an official Mission Trip for me and my wife Carolyn. It’s very apparent that Carolyn was born to do this kind of work for the Lord. Her spiritual gift is acts of service and mercy. She gets this glint in her eyes when she is happy, and so far this week her eyes have just sparkled with Joy.
On this trip, I have had the opportunity to reconnect with a man from my church growing up. His name is Bryce. We both grew up at Elim Baptist Church in Northeast Minneapolis. God has brought us back together for a purpose. I look forward to his friendship in the years to come.
Not only are we here to serve the people of Biloxi, but also each other. Our devotions together daily have been great moments for encouragement and prayer for one another. It has also been a joy for me to put faces with the listeners of KTIS. Praise God for this great experience.
