Pam’s Pals

Gertie is a 2-year-old Welsh Corgi/Basset Hound mix who loves having her belly rubbed, going on car rides, and relaxing at night on her owner’s lap. She was brought to Animal Humane Society because her previous owners didn’t have enough time for her. She weighs 42 pounds which is a little heavy for her size, so she’s looking for someone who wants to take her on some nice long walks and enjoy the spring weather. She’s also great with kids – she lived with 3 small children in her previous home and her former owner described her as playful with the kids. Gertie will do better in a home without other dogs.

Walk for Animals

Animal Humane Society’s 36th annual Walk for Animals is coming up on May 1. That means you still have a month and a half to register and raise funds for the nation’s largest human and pet walk. The money raised through the walk helps the nearly 35,000 unwanted, homeless, and neglected companion animals Animal Humane Society cares for each year at their five Twin Cities locations. You can walk as an individual or form a team and raise funds online or in person. For more information or to register for the walk go to our website at www.animalhumanesociety.org
