There’s still time to enter a singing contest in Minnesota.   The application deadline for “Step up to the Mic!” has been extended to March 8.   Singers will compete in two categories _ youth and adult.
    Preliminary judging, which is closed to the public, will take place March 13-14. Winners of the preliminary round will compete in the Final 15 Live Finale Performances in front of an audience. Those performances will take place at Maplewood Performing Arts Theatre on March 26 in the youth category and March 27 in the adult category.
    Winners will be chosen based on a combined score from a panel of music industry professionals and an audience vote.
