The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation will host its 18th annual walk at Mall of America Saturday, Feb. 27. This is the country’s largest indoor walk – drawing more than 18,000 walkers from the region. It is important to note that this year, in the wake of the earthquake in Haiti – JDRF will also be collecting diabetes supplies at the walk to help the estimated 300,000 Haitians living with diabetes. We talked with 8 yr old Carolina who has Type 1 diabetes from St. Paul who is the Youth Ambassador for the Walk to Cure Diabetes who had such incredible encouragment and insight for one so young.
