On the evening of April 24, families across the country will come together for a lively and interactive educational experience. Using innovative tools and techniques, the event focuses on a values-based approach to money management.

Together, families will:

  • Explore ways kids can share, save and spend.
  • Discuss the importance of being responsible with money.
  • Build a financial foundation for children that will last a lifetime.

We had the honor of talking with 5 year old Reese Schroeder whose dad, Jon died just last week of an acute respiratory condition.  With the help of her teacher she designed cards to help pay for his medical bills and even danced a ballet at his homegoing yesterday. Reese is teaching us alot about faith and love.  Read her family’s story at the Caring Bridge.

Get information on Cards by Reese on her facebook page by the same name or email cardsbyreese@gmail.com

…or will he?  This is a phrase that is often quoted but doesn’t exist anywhere in the Bible. David and I talked about it yesterday and I quoted this article.  I also read this part which I think is incredibly encouraging:

It (1 Corinthians 10:13) does not imply that God won’t let you be stressed beyond what you can bear.
Or challenged beyond your ability.
Or pushed beyond your threshold. In reality, God gives you more than you can bear all the time. On purpose.
It’s only when you can’t bear the load that the strength of Christ kicks in…
and He becomes everything you need and more.
